“Golden Lights” Vivid Baked Highlighter by Makeup Revolution (Iluminador)

Good morning everyone!

Today I bring you a review about a product that I’ve been trying and using for a while now; “Vivid Baked Highlighter” by Makeup Revolution in shade “Golden Lights!. I bought it from Primor because I had read good reviews and wanted to give it a try. As you can see on the pictures, it has a shimmery whitish champagne tone. Its price is €3.80 and taking this into account, its quality is quite acceptable..

Its shimmer is not an excessive one but as it has a pale undertone, a light hand is needed when applied to dark and/or tanned skin tones. It is appropriate to illuminate all the areas you want to highlight; usually the upper part of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s Bow, chin and centre of the  forehead.

The pigmentation is rather good as well but not as fine as others like the “Mary-Lou Manizer” by The Balm. We must bear in mind that the latter is more expensive. Although it may seem that these two products have similar shades, their tones are quite different since Mary-Lou is more a champagne colour while the one I’m reviewing today is a bit lighter.

Mi assessment is overall a positive one, especially due to its price.
